Bretters the Birthday/Baptism Boy...and Scout, Phew!

So Brett turned the big 8 on Jan. 31st! He was so excited to turn 8 and to be Baptized! We had a blast planning his Wii party, it turned out so fun! Next was his Baptism...this was a highly anticipated day, as it should be! Brett was full of his usual fun energy and could hardly sit still until it was our turn. He was full of question, most of which had been answered in previous F.H.E's. He was more curious now about things like, "am I going to sink?" and, "Is the water going to be freezing like Sylee's was?" Needless to say it all went well. His uncle Justin gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. Sylee played, "When I am Baptized" on the piano(she was so nervous, but did great), and the primary pres. and Bishop gave some closing remarks! It was a whirl wind day, but was so very special! We are so proud of you Brett for choosing to be Baptized. You are growing up to be such a righteous young man, we Love you!!!

Thanks to Shanise, one of my amazingly talented young women we were able to pull of this fondant wii remote cake. Thought it turned out pretty awesome!
Good Buds Brett and Tucker Staley!

The "Mario Kart" pinata!

Poor Sai with three Birhtdays within one week of each other, he usually gets the short end of the stick! He is always a good sport though! Here we are celebrating with a Monkey Bread cake, who doesn't like monkey bread right!!!
Note to self: eight, eight year old boys = a lot of ENERGY!!!
Getting ready to stop the giant coins to reveal the chocolate coins inside! We also played; put the mustache on Mario and threw ice balls at Bowser! My favorite was the Yoshi egg hunt, I totally forgot to get pictures of that!
Brett is also very proud to be a cub scout! He has earned his bobcat and has memorized, The law of the pack, the scout motto, the cub scout promise, the salute, the handshake...really the list goes on and on! Who knew! Scouts is a world all it's own!

Awesome, Bretter boy! We love you and miss you. Mason will go nuts when he sees your wii party pics! We might have to steal some of those ideas!

It all looks very cute! Oh it made me so sad that we weren't there for the baptism! And just think you don't have another birthday for almost 9 months after you get done with Jan! That is a relief! Love you guys.
