Pain in the rear Project!!!!

Okay so anyone who knows me, knows that I am not a patient person when I have a project in mind!! Of course I am always wishing I had had more patience in the end.
So I had decided (at around 4:30p.m.) on Fri. night that I wanted to paint my front door. Ten minutes later I was at Columbia Paint purchasing my paint and a way over priced paintbrush that promised to do wonders. After having spent to much money I headed home and began. The first problem looking back was that I maybe trusted the "paint guys" advice too much and my gut to little. I had a (recommended) 21/2 in. paintbrush to do my whole door. I began and, you guessed it it was drying way to faster than we could paint. No matter how much we tried to smooth the streaks, the end result was awful. We hung our door for the night, got up and took it off again and sanded it, again, and painted it, again, this time with a roller. To say the least we have a "textured" door and at this point I don't even care!! Well that was way more than I'm sure any of you cared to hear about my door, but hey I feel better. Here you have it!!!

I have these same moments of something "needing" to be done. I drive Andy crazy cause I will not give up when I get something in my mind. I am glad you finally got it painted though, and I am sure the texture looks rustic.

We've been doing the painting thing too. What a nightmare!!! Who knew something that seems and looks so simple could turn out to be such a headache.
I have the patience problem too. Always have and probably always will(unfortunatly).

Jules, I think your door looks great. Just be greatful you have projects to do. You could be sitting in your apartment with nothing to do and listen to your noisy neighbors all day!
